SCG Cluster¶
The SCG Cluster is a high-performance computing facility run by the Genetics Bioinformatics Service Center (GBSC within the Stanford Department of Genetics. Its resources have been designed to support labs engaged in genetics and bioinformatics research, but are open to anyone on campus. The SCG Cluster is optimized to support large memory, single-node threaded applications as well as applications and workflows that require many small files.
Other clusters on campus are available for more general-purpose user communities: see the Stanford Research Computing Center (SRCC)‘s list of clusters and platforms for more details.
The SCG Cluster is supported by the Stanford Research Computing Center admin team and is located in two SRCC data centers: Forsythe Hall (RCF) and the Stanford Research Computing Facility (SRCF) sited within the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center.
